About Wellington Village

West Rockhill Township, originally called Rockhill Township, is nestled in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Rockhill Township was founded in 1740 and divided in 1890 into two separate townships-East and West Rockhill.

West Rockhill Township is located on the western border of Upper Bucks County, adjacent to East Rockhill Township and south of Milford Township. West Rockhill is also a neighbor to the quaint town of Sellersville.

The early settlers of Rockhill Township were German farmers, also known as the Pennsylvania Dutch. They knew how to develop and maintain the land because the soil was identical to the soil in Germany. They planted many different crops to keep the soil rich and pure. In fact, today you can still discover pieces of the times gone by through the long-standing farms from the past. Many of the very old farms were once located in historic villages-such as Ridge Valley, Almont, Derstine, and Naceville. As a matter of fact, a few of the most famous buildings are still intact: the Argus Inn built back in 1714, the old Almont Hotel, and the John Fries House located on Allentown Road. Amongst the farms were many stone, grist, and saw mills. West Rockhill is known for its vast amount of water, so mills were a common structure located in this community of the past. Many of the old mill structures are no longer standing; however, two mills still remain intact even though they are no longer in use. You can find these mills not far from the village. West Rockhill Township is a charming area filled with a great deal of history to be explored. Even though West Rockhill Township has been in existence for centuries, it’s on the rise as a new, time-honored place to live.

Wellington Village is one of the newest and most desirable communities in West Rockhill. The village is situated on a beautiful 18 acre site, surrounded by rolling hills and natural beauty, with a walking trail leading to the local shopping center. This distinguished community is conveniently located off County Line Road and near Routes 113 and 152.

To travel around West Rockhill, the trolley was the major mode of transportation at the turn of the century. Now, transportation is made simple. In fact, commuting anywhere in the tri-state area is easy through convenient access to the PA Turnpike and Route 476. If you’d rather not drive, you can catch the next train into Philadelphia on the Septa R5 in Doylestown. A local, national airport is also a short distance from West Rockhill in Allentown, PA.

If you just need to get away from it all, you can spend a relaxing long weekend lying on the sandy beaches of New Jersey in the summer and in the winter, you can spend a long weekend curled up by a roaring fire and swooshing down the ski slopes in the Pocono Mountains. Both of these unique getaways are less than two hours from Rockhill. So, whether you are traveling to the city, a local suburb, or out-of-state, your journey will be an easy and enjoyable one.

There are many attractions nearby West Rockhill. If you would like to do some serious shopping, you can take your pick from the Montgomery Mall in Montgomeryville, the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, or the Franklin Mills Outlet Mall in Philadelphia...just to name a few. If you are in the mood to simply walk around, browse at specialty shops, or sit down to a relaxing dinner, the shops at Skippack Village, as well as New Hope and Peddler’s Village are the places to explore. Peddler’s Village is set on over 40 acres of landscaped grounds and winding brick pathways filled with restaurants, inns, and unique shops- located right in the heart of Bucks County off Route 263.

All of the conveniences anyone could ever want or need are located within a short drive of Wellington Village and within West Rockhill. From the local supermarkets-to the malls-to the quaint specialty shops, Rockhill has it all.

You’ve worked hard to get to this point in your life. It’s time you start enjoying it! Only 53 distinguished buyers will have the opportunity to live in Wellington Village-a neighborhood that emanates Colonial Elegance and Distinction.
